Publishing in peer-reviewed journals is becoming more and more an essential aspect of the graduate experience. However, it is difficult in the beginning to know which journals are most likely accept your work for publication or to know which journals will help you polish up your work to make it ready for publication. Here is a list of journals that grad students in the Faculty of Education have recommended as good places to start.

Language & Literacy: A Canadian eJournal has a call for papers for their special issue related to singing and literacy. Due Date is Oct. 1, 2013, so lots of time to consider sending in a proposal. Check out their website here.

 

Canadian Journal of New Scholars in Education – This journal has been recommended as a great place to submit your first articles for publication. The maintainers of this journal have created a mentoring system that will help you polish up your article in preparation for publication.
