Be a part of CSSE!!

CSSE is being held in Victoria during the days of June 1 – 5th.

You have the unique opportunity to become involved in an exciting national event by volunteering your time during the conference. As a volunteer, you will be able to attend conference sessions that will enhance your understanding of educational issues.

There are opportunities for undergraduate, graduate, faculty, and staff to volunteer time. If you are interested in this opportunity and able to commit one or more ½ day slots, please join us at our first information meeting on Thursday, May 9, 4:00-5:00, D115.

Stay tuned for the Grad Survey. We want your feedback. The online survey will be posted through survey monkey early next week. You have about a month to give us your input. Think about what’s working for you as an education grad student and what could be improved. Thank you in advance for completing it!

UBC Langauge and Literacy Conference deadline tomorrow

For several years, the University of Victoria and University of British Columbia have alternated hosting a graduate conference in Language and Literacy Education.  This year UBC’s Department of Language and Literacy Education is proud to be hosting this day-long event featuring keynote speaker Kathleen Gallagher, PhD  (Ontario Institute for Studies in Education University of Toronto).  Graduate students from UBC, UVic and SFU are invited and encouraged to submit proposals during the Call for Papers.

AGES Workshop #2 – CSSE How to get Involved

This workshop will provide information about what the CSSE conference is all about- how to participate and tips on proposal writing. The deadline for submissions is November 15 so plan on attending this workshop to give yourself time to get your proposal ready!
